Another world-wide first for the APWA, wrestling in hail. Secunda sure does know how to put on a show for us, last year it was wildfires, this year driving rain and hail. Poor old Blizzard even went to hide in a dustbin, assisted by his good friend Steve Eden. Afrika got things started with a bang as he defeted the LoudMouth with his Mpumalanga Drop. Mr Wrestling made Renegade tap out to a Bikers Crab. Dont think this one will be settled any time soon as there was a lot of animosity shown by both competators. Blizzard got the big “W” on K.O but the law missed a low blow and some questionable tactics from the man from Sasolburg. Dirty Jackson and Steve Eden went to a No-Contest as Blizzard and then K.O got involved sparking and impromtu tag match and the HAIL. Thats right kids HAIL, Blizzard and Dirty Jackson getting the win after brawling in the beer tent. Another show, another APWA first.
It seems only yesterday that APWA opened its doors, on the 21 April APWA will be celebrating its 5th year with its annual Anniversary slammer. And this event promises to be bigger than ever.
A first ever JAILHOUSE ROCK match will see Dirty Jackson battle The LoudMouth. This first-of-a-kind match will shake, rattle and roll you as the winner will have to smash a guitar over his opponents head to be called the victor.
In other matches Vic Scar defends his APWA heavyweight title against Max Detonator. Will Max have what it takes or will Scarred Ice’s resident brawler have what it takes to defent his title. K.O will battle the de-facto leader of Scarred Ice Johnny Sabin. The Dragon Boy will face Renegade. Blizzard will take on Mr. wrestling himself the Steel Knight. Ananzi to defend the honour of South Africa as a masked challenger from Mexico has stepped up to challenge the Lion of Africa. Who will his opponent be.
